Meridian Sounds is honoured to team up with Undaloop Records to present the coming back album Tu Yu from the Hong Kong via Guangzhou producer/rapper BMD. Started the hip hop scene in Guangzhou in early 2000s with his crew 'Dumdue' and 'Chee Production', BMD had inspired many beat makers and rappers in China to find their own sound and truth. As a purist who collects sounds and samples from the nature for beat making, his new album connects the movements in time and space, and guides us to explore the geometric trajectory of life along our journey.

‘Tu Yu seeks to explore our desires, the ups and downs of what has become and what has been lost. People build walls and trap ourselves inside. We are travelling and searching for spiritual renewal in this cycle of endless journey while being manipulated by our own desires. Lusts can ruthlessly swallow our mind and thoughts during the escape from the samsara. Regardless of whether the journey has an ending point, the energy of inertia allows us to be immersed in rhythms. The journey goes on as long as our desires keep rotating.’
